Some photographers do it for the money. I do it for the love.

I am a photographer based in Carlisle, so as you would expect I cover Cumbria and the Lake District as well as Scotland. But you can also find me being a wedding photographer all over the uk. Liverpool, Manchester, you name the place and I will probably be in demand there.

If I’m not being paid to be a photographer, I will still be found with a camera in my hand doing street photography, Fine art, or Portraits.

2021 has been a big year for me. I have received more Leica Mastershot awards than I can remember. I have been interviewed on the Street Photography Magazine podcast and featured in their online magazine. I am also being published in the Leica Fotografie International printed magazine in January as well as Black and White Photography Magazine. I am so proud to be recognised like this.

The fact is that, I just love making art and capturing moments. It’s what I live for. With that, you can be sure if you are paying me to be your photographer, I am not just going through the motions.

Wedding photography is very dear to my heart, and for over 25 years, I have been capturing weddings in the way that I know best. I love weddings. I’m more part of the action than a fly on the wall. Capturing everything from within.

I believe in capturing a wedding day as it happens rather than posing people. Any group shots and portraits of  couples are relaxed and fun. The great thing is that this approach lets couples do what they should be doing on their wedding day. Enjoying themselves in celebration.

Have a look through my Gallery and please do get in touch if you would like me to capture your moments.

Not so much a fly on the wall, but a another guest that blends in with everyone else.
